ABOUT CAROLINA

Carolina Grunér (b.1982) is a self-taught painter from Finland and has been painting full time since 2013.

​

Carolina has become known for her use of pink, with works that have an air of both sensitivity and strength to them.

Her works are collected worldwide.

 

When painting, Carolina trusts the guidance of her intuition completely.

Painting, for her, is a continuous process of surrendering to the inspiration and daring to let go of the mind's needs and wants to control the outcome. Each painting and its process becoming a form of dialogue between the tangible and intangible.

Like landscapes of the soul.

​For the last couple of years Carolina's main focus has been on being a mother, which has brought a slower and more seasonal rhythm to her creating. She has consciously lessened her time being visible on social media and promoting her artwork, and instead focuses on being present as a parent and a painter, welcoming visitors to her home studio in Gumbostrand, Sipoo.

The studio is open by appointment and filled with unique artwork, big and small, created with love, passion, joy and care.
